The Wicked Redhead
“Just the two of us. Lying under the hot sky. And I expect there must be some kind of tonic in the air, some kind of vaporous love potion, because I cannot look at this man without desiring to touch him… I am punch drunk, I am dead gone.”
-
This is Not How it Ends
“Maybe there are people in the world who are meant to be alone. Maybe they touch lives for brief moments, intermittent connections with long-lasting effects. Maybe we’re meant to learn from our goodbyes. Or maybe not. Maybe it’s all a bunch of nonsense that sounds good in theory but rips you apart, leaving everything broken.”

A Good Neighborhood
So, yes, I didn’t like this book. But, I didn’t like it because it felt real. Therese Anne Fowler did an incredible job writing a book that makes the reader feel uncomfortable, tense, angry, disappointed and just down-right sad.

The Vine Witch
After breaking the spell that confined her to the shallows of marshland and weakened her magic, Elena is struggling to return to her former life. And the vineyard she was destined to inherit is now in the possession of a handsome stranger.

The Family Upstairs
Thank you Atria Books for gifting me a copy of The Family Upstairs by Lisa Jewell. “Be careful who you let in. Soon after her twenty-fifth birthday, Libby Jones returns home from work to find the letter she’s been waiting for her entire life. She rips it open with one driving thought: I am finally […]

Get a Life, Chloe Brown
“There’s a big difference between being a coward and putting your emotional safety first.”
-
The Bromance BookClub
“Who knows how many people have gotten divorced simply because they failed to recognize that what they thought were insurmountable problems were actually just temporary phases.”
-
Twice in a Blue Moon
I always cherish the books that this duo writes but I think Twice in a Blue Moon may have just become one of my favorite from the dynamic writing duo, Christina Lauren.
-
The Widow of Rose House
“This isn’t about real life. Real is people leaning on each other when things are hard. It’s loving each other so much there’s no question about facing things together. It’s fighting for each other and with each other and being damned grateful for every morning you wake up together.”
-
The Giver of Stars
“Maybe just to know that something this beautiful exists is all we can really ask for.”
-
The Dearly Beloved
“I don’t think God exists in the way people would to like to believe; I don’t think God saves the day. I think it’s up to us. We know the rules, and we’re the ones who have to play the game.”

Don’t Put the Boats Away
Don’t Put the Boats Away was a trip through history. Ames Sheldon managed to fit in all of the major historical occurrences into the 291 pages of the book and I thought she did a tremendous job at doing so.

Love on Lexington Avenue
“I learned early on that we create our own narrative. It doesn’t matter what other people say about us as long as we know who and what we are. And here’s the other thing people don’t want you to know: you don’t have to be the same thing all the time.”
-
Life and Other Inconveniences
“Here are some facts about getting older. You hate young people because their manners, clothes and speech, as well as their taste in books, music, film and television, are all inferior.”
-
The Grace Year
Do not let the fact that this is a Young Adult novel deter you from stopping by your bookstore and picking this book up when it’s published on September 17th. You won’t be disappointed with this one!
-
The Oysterville Sewing Circle
I loved THE OYSTERVILLE SEWING CIRCLE for everything that it stood for. Susan Wiggs did an incredible job writing a story that addressed the prevalence of domestic violence in our world without making the entire book a heavy, unbearable read. It was simply a beautiful story about the importance of sticking together and offering support.

One Night Gone
Allison Simpson came to bury her past but what she digs up could destroy her future..

Because You’re Mine
“You don’t have to be like me, but anxiety from any decision comes from thinking about the devision, and not the decision itself.”
