Thank you, Grand Central Publishing, for gifting me this beautiful book! {partner}
Here’s a book I think everyone should read or listen to on audio (the narrator is 💯 ).
But in all seriousness, this book is going to be one of my favorites of the year. I fell in love with the charming (a little cranky) Hubert Bird as he rediscovered the importance of going out into the world and making friends.
I listened to the audiobook through Libro.FM and found every opportunity I could to pop my earbuds in and listen to the story. At one point, I was scrubbing my baseboards crying because of a heartbreaking revelation from Hubert.
🥰 A cast of lovable, funny, and memorable characters
🧑🏾🦱👨🏾🦱👨🏾🦳Get to know Hubert throughout the years of his life
⏪⏩Told in alternating timelines
😔 A look at what loneliness can do to someone
💗 An insightful and uplifting look at life and the power of friendship
All the Lonely People is an absolute MUST read, and I can’t sing its praises enough. Please, do yourself a favor and add this to your reading list; I hope you end up falling in love with an 84-year-old Jamaican man and his cat.
I recommend you read All the Lonely People if enjoyed The Switch, The One Hundred Years of Lenni and Margot, or you’re a fan of Fredrik Backman!
