“But here’s the truth: I think that people and things, and, maybe sometimes house, come into our lives for a reason.”
@jenniferweiner will always be an author that I read – I think my first book of hers, Mrs. Everything, is still at the very top of my recommendations list. Her writing is character-driven and you often feel like you know the people in the book better than you do your friends. That Summer got off to a slower start than I would have liked but by the end of the book, I appreciate the time that Jennifer Weiner took to introduce me to Diana, Daisy, and Beatrice.
👩🏽👩🏼👩🏾Character-driven storyline
3️⃣ Multiple narratives
🤍 Diana was my absolute favorite – I could read an entire book featuring her
❌ Trigger Warning
❌ The entire novel deals with some fairly heavy subject matter; if you have any questions, please message me so we chat!
- Sexual Assault
- Rape
- Suicide
I chose to pair this book with a Coconut Cream Pie for #coconutcreampieday yesterday but ended up not making a post because I spent the entire day with my friends, enjoying the sunshine. 🥧

I also recently read and reviewed this one. Less fluffy than some.
