Forever Wild
“You’re still everywhere to me… When I hear the buzz of a plane overhead, I like to think it’s Wren Fletcher, doing what he loves most, flying high over the mountains, over the land he loved so deeply. He just doesn’t need to land anymore.”
Thank you, KA Tucker and Valentine PR for gifting a copy of Forever Wild!
“The holiday season is upon Calla and Jonah, and with the mistletoe and gingerbread comes plenty of family drama. Jonah is bracing himself for two weeks with a stepfather he loathes, and while Calla is looking forward to her mother and Simon’s arrival, she dreads the continued pressure to set a date for their wedding … in Toronto. Add in one bullheaded neighbor’s unintentional meddling and another cantankerous neighbor’s own family strife, and Christmas in Trapper’s Crossing will be anything but simple.”
It always amazes me that every time I read about Calla and Jonah that I have to remind myself that they are not real people and the other characters in the book are not real. I get so wrapped up in their storylines that my brain has a hard time separating reality and fiction.
I fell in love with Jonah when he first entered the picture of Simple Wild and then Calla eventually grew on me. I was cemented in my love for the couple during Wild at Heart but during FOREVER WILD, I fell in love with their lives and all of those that surround them.
While, I admit, FOREVER WILD, was a lot shorter than I wanted it to be (I know, it was a novella). I just needed more from their story, I didn’t feel that I had enough time to be fully immersed in their life. But, that being said. I still give this story 5 stars because it was just what I needed. It was full of laugh out loud moments, some steam, and a surprise that I didn’t see coming (I’m not going to give any spoilers here).
If you haven’t already had the opportunity to read the Simple Wild books, do yourself a favor and add them to your holiday reading list. But, make sure you start with the FIRST book, don’t try to skip ahead – you need to follow Calla and Jonah from start to finish.
Speaking of finish, I read the author’s note at the end of FOREVER WILD, and it sounds like this might be goodbye; KA Tucker wants to focus on some of the other characters that we’ve encountered in the series. I’m not ready to be done with Calla and Jonah. So, I hope that whatever direction Tucker takes that we will still be gifting glimpses of my favorite literary couple and how they’re doing.
FOREVER WILD was published on December 1st and is available to order now!
One response to “Forever Wild”
Loved this novella so much, although I would have loved more one and one time with Calla and Jonah, but I’m not complaining 😀
