Get a Life, Chloe Brown

“There’s a big difference between being a coward and putting your emotional safety first.”

Thank you Avon Books for gifting me an advanced copy of Get a Life, Chloe Brown by Talia Hibbert.

“Chloe Brown is a chronically ill computer geek with a goal, a plan, and a list. After almost—but not quite—dying, she’s come up with seven directives to help her “Get a Life”, and she’s already completed the first: finally moving out of her glamourous family’s mansion. The next items?

Enjoy a drunken night out.
Ride a motorcycle.
Go camping.
Have meaningless but thoroughly enjoyable sex.
Travel the world with nothing but hand luggage.
And… do something bad.
But it’s not easy being bad, even when you’ve written step-by-step guidelines on how to do it correctly. What Chloe needs is a teacher, and she knows just the man for the job.

Redford ‘Red’ Morgan is a handyman with tattoos, a motorcycle, and more sex appeal than ten-thousand Hollywood heartthrobs. He’s also an artist who paints at night and hides his work in the light of day, which Chloe knows because she spies on him occasionally. Just the teeniest, tiniest bit.

But when she enlists Red in her mission to rebel, she learns things about him that no spy session could teach her. Like why he clearly resents Chloe’s wealthy background. And why he never shows his art to anyone. And what really lies beneath his rough exterior.”

Before reading Get a Life, Chloe Brown, I had been in a serious reading slump. I was struggling to find a book that I truly loved or that I thought was even good. I was about to just take a break from reading.. like a long break. Put everything on hold and just try to refocus. I decided to pick up Get a Life, Chloe Brown as a last-ditch effort before throwing in the towel.

I am so glad I did.

Y’all, this book is AMAZING. I think Chloe Brown may be my new favorite rom-com. It was an absolute delight to read. I flew through it because the storyline was that entertaining. I found myself laughing out loud at Chloe and her quirky personality. But, I was also touched by the message within the book.

I have fallen in love with, the author, Talia Hibbert’s writing style. It was absolute perfection.

Also, I would like to point out Get a Life, Chloe Brown is full of all kinds of steamy romance. I am not kidding you when I say that it made me blush, no turn beet red, in some parts. It’s been a long time since I’ve read a book that had this much of a sultry storyline. I’m not ashamed to admit that I loved every minute.

Talia Hibbert, I am officially a fan and I can’t wait to read your next book about the second Brown sister.

Get a Life, Chloe Brown is set to be published on November 5, 2019. You have to add this to your reading list. You won’t be disappointed!
