“We shouldn’t assume that women and girls don’t know the difference between reality and fantasy. We don’t fear that men who read murder mysteries and thrillers are going to have a hard time not becoming serial killers, so why should we assume that a girl won’t know that she doesn’t have to change from a mermaid to a human in order to find love just because of a movie?”
I extend my sincere thanks to Berkley Publishing and to, author, Lyssa Kay Adams for gifting me an advanced copy of The Bromance Book Club.
“Nashville Legends second baseman Gavin Scott’s marriage is in major-league trouble. He’s recently discovered a humiliating secret: his wife Thea has always faked the Big O. When he loses his cool at the revelation, it’s the final straw on their already strained relationship. Thea asks for a divorce, and Gavin realizes he’s let his pride and fear get the better of him.
Welcome to the Bromance Book Club.
Distraught and desperate, Gavin finds help from an unlikely source: a secret romance book club made up of Nashville’s top alpha men. With the help of their current read, a steamy Regency titled Courting the Countess, the guys’ coach Gavin on saving his marriage. But it’ll take a lot more than flowery words and grand gestures for this hapless Romeo to find his inner-hero and win back the trust of his wife.”
I am not exaggerating when I tell you that I ADORED this book! It was hilarious, witty, touching and brilliant.
I haven’t laughed as much since reading the Unhoneymooners but I was constantly laughing, out loud, at all of the antics that ensued in the 339 pages of this book.
“A woman remembers every time a man winks at her, because we love winking. It’s like catnip. Wink at us, and we will roll over and start purring.”
I could picture every single character so vividly that I felt like I was watching a movie unfold before my eyes. I could not get enough of the characters and I haven’t loved a main male character in a long long time but I have a serious crush on Gavin Scott. He reminded me a bit of my husband and that just made me love him even more.
The Bromance Book Club is going to be a hit when it is released on November 5, 2019. I encourage you to add this one to the very top of your TBR list. Be prepared to swoon.
Thank you, Lyssa Kay Adams, for writing this wonderful book. I can’t wait to see what you write next!
